Last week, I shared 6 Bible verses to bolster your faith.
You can read that post HERE.
Because I thought some of you could use a little extra infusion of faith, I thought a few more Bible verses about faith might be encouraging.
Here are 6 More Bible Verses to Bolster Your Faith:
Verse One – Hebrews 11:11
Oh, don’t you love the way God is faithful even when we are not! Sarah went through seasons of doubt and downright disbelief before she truly believed God would send her a child. She eventually believed God, but it took her some time to get there.
All the while, God was faithful. And, even doubting, scoffing, laughing Sarah ended up in the Great Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11:11-12.
Be encouraged today… we serve a God full of grace, patience, and second chances. Even when are faithless, He remains faithful! Even though we struggle, He loves us and gives us time to work through our “stuff.”
Verse Two – Hebrews 11:6
God loves it when we have faith!
There is something that so warms His heart and pleases Him when we trust Him completely. I think about how much I love it when my children trust my husband and me. Maybe this is similar to how Father God feels when we trust Him.
Today, exercise a little more faith in your great God. It will deeply please Him!
Verse Three – Hebrews 11:1
What is faith?? Faith is tenacious hope. It’s undying courage and confidence that God will come through – even if we can see nothing at all.
The Amplified Bible phrases Hebrews 11:1 in this way, “Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].”
Today, you may be hoping and praying for something that has eluded you. You’ve waited & waited & waited, and your answer still has not arrived.
Hope on. Continue in your faith. Our God is absolutely able to answer! He is still in the miracle business!
Verse Four – 1 Timothy 1:19
There seems to be a strong correlation between faith and a clear conscience. Paul instructed Timothy to CLING to his faith. In another translation, it reads, “hold fast to your faith.”
So, do you want to keep a clear & a clean conscience today?? Cling to your faith!
Do you want to have much stronger and more dynamic faith?? Keep a clear conscience. The two go hand in hand.
In the EXB, this verse reads, “Continue to have faith and do what you know is right [a good conscience]. Some people have rejected this, and their faith has been shipwrecked.” 1 Timothy 1:19
Verse Five – 1 Thessalonians 3:10
What an interesting way to pray for our children, grandchildren, and those that we mentor… that we might “fill in the gaps” in their faith.
I think we could pray this prayer for ourselves as well.
“Lord, would you fill in the gaps in my faith? Would You supply what I need to make my faith strong? Father, would You remedy the deficiencies in my faith so that I might encourage others in their faith?”
Verse Six – 2 Thessalonians 1:3
In his letters to the churches, Paul always began with words of encouragement. He would affirm each church for the things that they were doing well. To this church at Thessalonica, he told them how much he appreciated their flourishing faith and their growing love for each other. These opening words must have blessed his readers.
Maybe today, we could follow Paul’s example. Maybe we begin a few emails or conversations with words of encouragement and appreciation.
Maybe we could bless someone by building them up with our words.
