We are blessed!

God has been so good to us – all of us.

Psalm 145:9 promises us that, “The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation.”

Sometimes, it may not FEEL like you are blessed.

You may not be living in your dream house or driving a brand new car.

You may not have the job or the kids or the life that you’d like to have.

You may not be in good health at the moment.

You may have had a horrible week this last week.

And yet, you are blessed!

I am blessed!

This week, I’ve been reminded over and over to be thankful for the blessings of the Lord on my life.

I’ve got an incredible Savior, a sweet marriage, two awesome kids, a great family, breath in my lungs, lots of good friends, wonderful ministry opportunities, and so much more.

And, you could make a list as well. There are good things in your life as well.

To the One on the Throne! To the Lamb!
The blessing, the honor, the glory, the strength,
For age after age after age.

  1. Really enjoyed this post- I remember reading Matthew 10:29-31. God cares for a sparrow who falls to the ground but just remembering we are worth more to Him. All the more reason to lift His name up in praise. We do serve a Mighty God – how much more can we be blessed than having God on our side.

  2. Blessed reason #3 and #6 really resonate with me. I am learning how to appreciate the smallest things, and it has been very rewarding to realize God is responsible. Contentment is something I am appreciating very much. It is nice to have a breather and realize I have all I need. I am truly blessed! Thank you for sharing!

And, isn’t it sweet to be content and grateful! There’s a verse I love that says, “Godliness with contentment is great gain.” (1 Tim. 6:6)
