The Southern part of the United States is just beautiful this time of year.
And, Memphis is at it’s best in the Spring.
I’ve dedicated this year on my website to highlighting some of the best things in the City of Memphis.
Each week, I share stories about great places to eat, amazing people, positive ministries, powerful places of worship and other wonderful things going on around the “901” area code.
This week, I thought it would be fun to focus on the beauty that surrounds us right now.
Because frankly, our springtimes are breath-taking!
Just look around you.
To honor spring in the south, I started about 4 weeks ago snapping photos of everything lovely that I saw.
I’ve driven all over town to find the most gorgeous trees, bushes and flowers I could find.
As a nice breeze blows through the trees today, I hope you will enjoy this “tribute” to Springtime in Memphis, Tennessee.
Our Spring Tour begins with a drive down Cherry Road near the Botanic Gardens.
These pictures show some of the gorgeous Japanese Cherry Blossom trees that were at their peak about April 1st-5th.
They were more “light” pink than dark pink this year, but beautiful still the same.
Then, we got to enjoy Walnut Grove Road and the Redbud trees.
These beauties showed up around early April.
Aren’t they gorgeous!
Next, things begin to turn green and all sorts of new buds began to grow.
I took these pictures on the Shelby Farms Greenline near Germantown Road.
I don’t know what all of these trees are called. If you are an expert, please share the tree names with me!
Finally, we got to enjoy some Azaleas.
There were so many amazing colors this year!
These pictures were taken on Goodlett Farms Parkway and along Appling Road.
Aren’t they gorgeous!
That’s it for my salute to spring in Memphis.
We are blessed to be living in such a pretty part of the country!
If you have taken other pictures, I’d love to see them.

Blessings to you,
