6 Bible Verses to Greatly Boost Your Courage
Dictionary.com defines it as, “the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, or pain without fear.”
To face all that we are facing without fear – that is courage.
I don’t know what you are facing right now, but I do know that each one of us faces issues, situations, relationships, and events that are challenging.
We are in need of courage!
And, I can think of no better place to turn when we need courage than to the Bible and to God. Over the course of this past week, I’ve shared many courage-inspiring verses on social media.
Today, I’ve organized them all into one post to hopefully SUPERCHARGE and INFUSE you with courage.
Here are 6 Bible Verses to Boost Your Courage:
God is present. He is always with us. We can’t ever get out of His presence. But, do we recognize Him and His presence?
In the Bible, Jacob did not. Genesis 28:16, “Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!” Oh, may we be more AWARE today and enjoy Him as we never have before!
We don’t worship a “god” or one of the gods! We serve the GOD of gods and the LORD of lords!
“For the Lord, your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed.”
Deuteronomy 10:17, NLT
“I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.”
Psalm 145:5, NKJV
Love this reminder from Adrian Rogers and Daniel 10:10-13.
‘Just then a hand touched me and lifted me, still trembling, to my hands and knees. And the man said to me, “Daniel, you are very precious to God, so listen carefully to what I have to say to you. Stand up, for I have been sent to you.” When he said this to me, I stood up, still trembling.
Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia.’
“Resting in God’s perfect love and trusting in His will is the best possible place to be.”
(Dawn Klinge, Look to Jesus)
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:13-14
“But the LORD is with me as a mighty, awesome One.”
Be encouraged this week that…
- God is ALWAYS with us! His presence never leaves us!
- We don’t just serve A god, we serve the God of Gods and the Lord of Lords!
- Our God is glorious, majestic, and full of splendor!
- He hears our prayers! His delays aren’t denials.
- We can rest confidently in Him! We will see His goodness.
- God is with us! He is mighty and awesome!
And, Amelia, this one is for you!
