A Song for Sunday – Lead Me to the Cross

I thought it would be helpful, inspirational, meaningful and interesting to detail some of the events that took place in this final week of Jesus’ earthly ministry.

And, I found this wonderful “Passion Week Outline” on www.biblestudyplanet.com.

I pray that this will help us to reflect upon the events of this final week, leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord:

Palm Sunday

Monday

Tuesday

Thursday

Good Friday

Resurrection Sunday

This entire week was leading to the cross – to the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord. He was being led to the cross to do what He had ultimately come to earth to do – to die for us!

Today’s song celebrates that all that Jesus did for us.

It’s “Lead Me to the Cross” by Hillsong.

Here’s the song

“Lead Me To The Cross”

Savior, I come
Quiet my soul remember
Redemption’s hill
Where Your blood was spilled
For my ransom
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost[Chorus:]
Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Lead me, lead me to the cross you were as I
Tempted and trialed
Human
The word became flesh
Bore my sin and death
Now you’re risenEverything I once held dear
I count it all as lost[Chorus]To your heart
To your heart
Lead me to your heart
Lead me to your heart
