It’s time for another post in my new Friday Feature called, “My Favorites on Friday.”
Each week on Friday, I’ll share with you some of the things I’m reading, sites I’m visiting, upcoming events, and quotes.
This week’s theme is “Hope and Encouragement.”
Also, I’d love to hear back from you!
You can make a comment in the section below or email me at email@example.com. I always enjoy hearing from you!
“My Favorites on Friday”
#1 Favorite – Exodus 14:13-14
This little passage has “followed” me around all week. Every time I’ve browsed on social media, I’ve run into these verses.
Then, I read these same verses in my devotions today.
Here are the verses:
And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13-14)
This afternoon, as I was getting some things out of my car, I ran into the verse again on a plaque one of my friends had given me.
Here is the plaque:
#2 Favorite – Grammie Time site and her kind post
A few weeks ago, I wrote a post to encourage a sweet blogging friend of mine. She had been out of church for a little while, and I sort of “nudged” her back to church.
You can read the post I wrote for her HERE.
She wrote back this week with a really great post. You can read her response HERE. It’s called, “12 Months of Bliss.”
#3 Favorite – Michelle Bengston’s site
My blogger of the week this week is Dr. Michelle Bengston. She blogs at “Hope for the Hurting Heart.” You can link to her site HERE.
What I love about Michelle is the way she uses her words and the words of Scripture to exhort, encourage, and uplift weary and hurting hearts. There have been many days I have stopped by to read one of her posts and been so inspired.
An article that really blessed me this week from Michelle is one she has entitled, “Stick It Out.”
You can read this positive post HERE.
Stop by and meet Michelle, and let her know that I sent you over.
#4 Favorite – Recording this week at AM 640
We recorded our first set of devotions at WCRV AM 640 this week. We are planning to record one a week for the entire year. These devotions will be played in a few of the Bott Radio markets as short words of hope and encouragement.
The radio features are called, “A Moment of Hope.”
I intend to share some of these devotions on this site soon. A couple of pictures from the recording session are below. The top photo is Byron Tyler, Broadcast Director at WCRV. I’m pictured in the bottom photo just before we started recording.
You can find out more about Bott Radio HERE.
#5 Favorite – Song – Lord, You’re Holy
This song has been such a great way for me to focus on the Lord this week. I invite you to turn it up and worship!
This version is by Helen Baylor, and it blows me away every time I hear it!
That’s it for this week’s Favorites!
