Our beautiful daughter is now in a same sex relationship. We love them, accept them for who they are but they do not have our blessing. Being gay is not a sin, acting on it is. The answer is being celibate. My daughter can’t accept God would deny them love. She is now doing her PHD in Human Genetics so we understand, being LGBT is not a choice but being born that way. The hurt runs deep for all of us – My husband is a minister, he won’t walk her down the aisle, perform the marriage ceremony, no church wedding. We don’t know how to share this with our congregation for fear of us being judged.
