When my kids were preschoolers, I first became acquainted with Isaiah 41:10.

One of my mentors in our church loved the verse and shared it often.

Her love for this sweet word of Scripture made me love it as well.

Soon after, I committed the verse to memory.

It became one of my “Go-To” verses on a hard day or when facing a challenging situation.

When I researched the most popular Bible verses in the world, this one tops the list.

I found it interesting that Isaiah 41:10 is the most popular verse in Mexico and Columbia (according to Christianity Today).

Maybe it’s a favorite of yours as well?

Today, we look at how to make Isaiah 41:10 your personal prayer to the Lord.

These are some different ways you can pray to overcome fear using Isaiah 41:10.

Overcome Fear using Isaiah 41:10

Isaiah 41:10

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.

Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you.

I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

Don’t.

“Lord, help me not to be fearful. Give me the courage and the tenacity to part with fear and anxiety.

I want to put an embargo on fear in my life and push it away.

Would You enable me to stop allowing fear to grip my heart?

Also, would You strengthen me as I seek to limit the anxiety, dread, and worry that I allow into my life?

Fear and anxiety are emotions that all of us face. What can we do to win over such things? How can we find the strength to keep going—no matter how we feel? Here is some hope! Learn how to overcome fear using Isaiah 41:10. #fear #overcomefear #isaiah4110 #hopeoverfear #hope

Father, I want to win the battle over worry.

I want to have victory and power over fear and anxiety. Today, I want to prohibit fear from even entering my life in any way.

You are my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in You, and You help me.

My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise You.

For You are the strength of Your people, a fortress of salvation for us. God, I claim Your strength today.”

Be afraid.

“Oh, Father, would You help me not to be afraid, timid, fearful, or worried?

I don’t even want to allow a tiny bit of fear to enter the equation.

Instead, I want to trust You completely.

Empower me to be strong and courageous! Help me not to be afraid and not to panic.

Thank You that You will personally go ahead of me.

You will neither fail you nor abandon me.

Help me to be strong in You, Lord, and in Your mighty power.”

For I am with you.

“God, I am so glad that You are always with me.

You will NEVER leave me, abandon me, nor forsake me.

I can trust You no matter where I am or what is going on in my life.

Further, You are 100% dependable and 100% faithful. Always.

Enable me to be strong and courageous.

Help me to not be frightened, and not be dismayed, for You are with me wherever I go.

I’m so thankful that NOTHING can separate me from You and Your love

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate me from Your love.

Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither my fears for today nor my worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate me from Your love.

No power in the sky above or the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate me from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thank You for this.”

Don’t be discouraged.

“Father, this world sometimes really discourages me.

People, my job, my family, finances, and so many other things can zap the fun and the joy right out of my life.

Would You help me to face disheartening circumstances with more grace today?

And, would You add a little Teflon coating to my emotions so I won’t lose heart so easily?

Would You give me the courage to not lose heart?

I know that I am getting older and wasting away outwardly, yet inwardly I am being renewed day by day.

My light and momentary troubles are achieving for me an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

So, would you help me to fix my eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal?

And, would You help me to not lose heart in doing what is right?

Remind me that in due time I will reap and enjoy rewards if I just don’t faint and give up.

Strengthen my resolve today – to follow You wholeheartedly and to not get sidetracked by discouragement.”

For I am your God.

“Thank You that You are my God. You are the One to Whom I can turn all the time. No matter the issue that is plaguing me, I can turn to You and turn it over to You.

Because You are God, I can entrust You to take care of my life matters and the cares of my life.

Surely, God, You are my salvation; I will trust in You and not be afraid.

The LORD, the LORD Himself, is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation.

I trust You, God. You are my God, my personal Lord, and Savior.”

I will strengthen you and help you.

“Father, I’m so thankful that You are the One who gives me strength. It’s not up to me and my might and my willpower.

Instead, Lord, I can turn to You and allow You to fill me up today with Your power and strength.

Thank You that You are The Lord, the everlasting God.

You are the Creator of all the earth. You never grow weak or weary. Indeed, no one can measure the depths of Your understanding.

You give power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

Thank You that those who trust in You will find new strength.

They will soar high on wings like eagles.

They will run and not grow weary. And, they will walk and not faint.

You are my ultimate power source.

Consequently, I press in close to You right now and ask You to fill me up to overflowing with Your strength, help, and grace today.”

I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

“Thank You, Lord, that You will certainly take hold of me with Your righteous right hand. I’m so grateful for Your hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation.

Truly, You are altogether righteous and faithful. I can trust You to hold me. Powerful is your arm! Strong is your hand! Your right hand is lifted high in glorious strength.

Thank You that You are always with me; You hold me by my right hand.

Also, You guide me with your counsel, and afterward, you will take me into glory.

Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides You.

My flesh and heart may fail, but God, You are my heart’s strength and portion forever.”

Furthermore, I’m leaning on You today and Your mighty arm to hold me up.

Father, I’m so thankful that I can place my life safely in Your hands.

I love You, Lord.

In Jesus’s name, Amen.

My brother died in 1979 from Lymphoma. He told our family about his sickness along with Isaiah 41:10. Since that time I run across this verse and it gives me strength and peace. I put the verse on my Mother and Dad’s head stone
I retired with 35 yrs. from the Space Center in Houston. My wife had given me a medallion with “fear not”. I asked aShuttle Commander if he would fly it on her Shuttle mission. She agreed and presented it to me with a letter of authentication from her crew along with a picture of it floating in zero g’s and you can see the earth out the window in the background. It is my most prized worldly possessions!!! Thank you for your website.

I love this verse but have never broken it down like this in prayer. I’m going to use this in my daily life, as I lean towards fearfulness at times, but also share with my daughters and granddaughters. Thank you for sharing!

    Amen, Kathy!

I have found a verse in needed most at this critical moment when on Sunday I am going to be in a family meeting to present my concerns and seek the family to come up with a resolution to cause peace to every family member.
I will not fear and I am convinced that God will be with me to help my self and other family members receive justice in family asset inheritance.
This has been a blessing to me. I will make this my personal verse and share with others .

Just found this posting on Pinterest….WOW! This is so powerful. Could you possibly think of doing Psalms 91 as one of your Bible passages you make into a prayer for oneself?
