It’s One of the SWEETEST Words in the Whole Bible

But, this one, to me, is one of the sweetest of them all.

What is it?

It’s the word, “Freedom.”

By and large, freedom is the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.

To be free is to be… released, liberated, and unrestrained.

Indeed, to be set free in God’s economy is to be completely forgiven, made right with God, and totally redeemed.

Truly, this freedom is a gift made possible by the death of our Savior on the cross. As we believe in Jesus, we are set free from the penalty of sin. In Christ, we enjoy freedom.

Today, why not take a moment to reflect on this amazing gift of freedom?

So, here are five verses that help us to celebrate our freedom:

First, there is  John 8:32, 36

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free… So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.”

Second, we read Romans 6:7

“For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin.”

Third, we read Romans 6:18

“Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.”

Fourth, there is Galatians 5:1

“So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.”

Finally, we find Psalm 119:45

“I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.”
