Melanie,
Such wise and timely advice! The lies of the enemy are rampant and unrelenting. Praying scripture is our powerful and sure Sword against his devices. Scripture Prayer cards for each child through each stage helps so much when we are at a loss of what to pray.
I also pray Hebrews 5:13-14, that they will desire for themselves to mature in the “solid food” of the Word, so that they will learn discernment for themselves to practice distinguishing good from evil. The Word is the only universal TRUTH that dispels the lies of the world!
Thank you for your encouragement to press on when the fight gets tougher as our kids become more independent!

Thank you so very much for this powerful post! I had no trouble praying for my little ones but I had no clue as to how to pray for my 20-somethings! I knew that I needed to, but I was totally lost! Again, thank you! You are truly a blessing!

Melanie, this is such an important post. It’s easy to assume they need us less because they’re out of sight! My prayers go along with yours. That my kids would have a passion for Jesus, and that they would discover God’s call on their lives and walk into it. Pursue excellence and use time wisely.

Thank you for this article. It’s difficult to find articles regarding young adults. My daughter is a Freshman in college and this will help me greatly. I pray for her daily. Wisdom, positive & good friends and most of all, for her to trust in the Lord.
