Share the Hope!

Endurance.

Simply defined, it’s the ability and the power to do something unpleasant or difficult without giving up.

Maybe you are having to practice endurance right now.

We all face issues and challenges that tax our resolve and force us to endure. Here are some Bible verses to strengthen your faith and to point you toward God. It's also our prayer that you will gain hope for life and whatever you are dealing with today.

Words of Scripture to Help You Endure

Some of you are enduring physically…

  • A chronic illness.
  • A nagging injury.
  • Constant pain.
  • Trying to lose weight and struggling.
  • Something else that taxes your resolve physically.

Maybe you are enduring emotionally…

  • A deep heartbreak.
  • The loss of a friend.
  • The death of someone you loved.
  • Sadness or depression.
  • A painful divorce or breakup.
  • Or something else that’s challenging emotionally.

Possibly, you are enduring spiritually…

  • A church split or breakup.
  • A dry patch in your walk with the Lord.
  • Watching a child or friend walk away from the Lord.
  • Trouble trusting God.
  • Or some other issues which make you weary spiritually.

Or, it could be that you are enduring some other issue or difficult situation.

Whatever your challenge, I pray that today’s verses will give you hope.

Verse One – Hebrews 12:1

“And let us run with endurance…”

Keep moving forward.

If you can’t run, walk. If you can’t walk, shuffle. And, if you can’t shuffle, crawl. But, don’t you dare STOP!

Keep on going! Today is NOT the day to quit!

“The race that GOD has set before us.” He’s put us on a particular path, in a particular place, with particular people. He set the race before us that He wants us to run.

*How do we do this???

“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” (Heb. 12:2)

We all face issues and challenges that tax our resolve and force us to endure. Here are some Bible verses to strengthen your faith and to point you toward God. It's also our prayer that you will gain hope for life and whatever you are dealing with today.

Verse Two – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

“Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].”   1 Thessalonians 5:18, AMPC

Gratitude helps us to endure!

We all face issues and challenges that tax our resolve and force us to endure. Here are some Bible verses to strengthen your faith and to point you toward God. It's also our prayer that you will gain hope for life and whatever you are dealing with today.

Verse Three – Exodus 14:14

As the Children of Israel were caught between the Red Sea and the Egyptians, they began to panic.

They were hemmed in and their situation looked hopeless.

That’s when Moses exhorted the people with these words, “The LORD is fighting for you! So be still!”

No matter what you are facing today, may I remind you… “The LORD is fighting for you! So be still!” (Exodus 14:14, GNT)

We all face issues and challenges that tax our resolve and force us to endure. Here are some Bible verses to strengthen your faith and to point you toward God. It's also our prayer that you will gain hope for life and whatever you are dealing with today.

Verse Four – 1 Thessalonians 5:17

“Never stop praying.”

How do we possibly do this???

Try this… Every single time you look at your phone today, pause and pray.

  • Pray for a friend or for one of your kids.
  • Thank the Father for something.
  • Pray for a concern.
  • Prayer can be as simple as, “Lord, protect my friend today & give her strength.”

We all face issues and challenges that tax our resolve and force us to endure. Here are some Bible verses to strengthen your faith and to point you toward God. It's also our prayer that you will gain hope for life and whatever you are dealing with today.

Verse Five – Zephaniah 3:17

“For the Lord, your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”   (Zephaniah 3:17, NLT)

We all face issues and challenges that tax our resolve and force us to endure. Here are some Bible verses to strengthen your faith and to point you toward God. It's also our prayer that you will gain hope for life and whatever you are dealing with today.

Verse Six – 1 Thessalonians 5:11

To encourage is to inspire with courage and confidence. It can also be to embolden, reassure, brighten, cheer, fortify, and strengthen.

In this passage in the letter to the church at Thessalonica, Paul is giving his words of final advice to the brothers and sisters in this fellowship.

He reminds them of this: “So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” (1 Thess. 5:11, NLT)

Maybe today, you and I can encourage someone else with a text, an email, a visit, or a phone call. Even as we are checking out at Wal-Mart or picking up a prescription at the drugstore, we can brighten someone else’s day with a smile and a good word.

Who will you inspire with confidence today? Who will you encourage?? Somehow when we encourage others, we ourselves are blessed!

We all face issues and challenges that tax our resolve and force us to endure. Here are some Bible verses to strengthen your faith and to point you toward God. It's also our prayer that you will gain hope for life and whatever you are dealing with today.
