Share the Hope!

I’m Melanie, and it’s pretty simple.

Indeed, I’m a woman on a mission to offer hope!

Using God’s Word, practical illustrations, a little wit, and a whole lot of common sense, I offer encouraging instruction to others.

For over 30 years now, I’ve been married to Randy.

We serve in full-time Christian ministry along with our two young-adult kids (Riley and Emily) in the Memphis, Tennessee area.

It’s my joy to teach Bible study in churches and to speak to groups of women. Often, I speak to groups at retreats, conferences, and events.

Further, you can contact me about speaking to your group HERE.

Writing words of hope is also a passion.

You can find out more about the books I’ve written by linking to my Amazon Author page.

Just click HERE to be taken to that page.

Another great joy is to work with women’s ministries and women’s ministry leadership. Often, we meet to discuss ways they can improve and enhance the work that they are doing.

Melanie
I found your posting when on Pinterest.
I would like to send parts of Joshua 1:9 weekly prayers and Isaiah 41:10 prayers to family members. We do daily prayer/ verse for our niece, she had a dental procedure go badly and ended in cardiac arrest. She has survived, but has had to re-learn everything. She is a year into the process and we as a family try to support them in any way we can. Would very much appreciate your wonderful prayers to send to them. ( we communicate daily with prayer or verse or both)

    Hey Janet,
Thanks for sharing your situation today.
So sorry to hear about your niece. What a tough situation.
And, scripture/scripture prayers have a way of comforting us, don’t they?
You are welcome to send any of these words that will help! Share away!
    Blessings,
    Melanie

Hi Melanie,
Peace!

Can I share your Psalm 23 prayers with our prayer group by adding them to our shepherd’s manual? We pastor our members and your prayers are very beautiful, they will surely inspire us and draw us closer to Jesus, our True, Loving and Good Shepherd.

Thank you for your blogs. You continue to inspire us to know, love and serve the Lord more. May God bless you and your ministry!

Go forth!

Hey Melanie! I was just checking out your page and I was wondering if you’d consider putting a doctrinal statement on your blog? I looked for one and couldn’t find it. It always gives me peace of mind and encouragement to see that! Just a thought!

    helloredds@gmail.com · 02/14/2018 at 4:48 PM

    Hey Erin,
    What a GREAT idea!
I will certainly look into that. And, thank you for the suggestion!
    Blessings,
    Melanie

Brigitte Matthews · 01/01/2018 at 10:01 AM

Hi Melanie, My name is Brigitte Matthews and I just discovered your site! I am in absolute awe! I am a high introvert and this causes me to stumble. I have written a very short book Divine Tapestry. I have a very simple website with the same name. When I think about promoting either and what that might entail with public speaking or outreach I freeze. I become insecure about mistakes I probably made in the novel that I am unaware of etc. I know those are attacks from the enemy. It took me 6 years just to get this far. I have reached out to other pastors locally and get nothing-no feedback or encouragement. I would like someone who is very knowledgeable about the Bible to review it. Any suggestions?

    helloredds@gmail.com · 01/04/2018 at 12:25 PM

    Hey Brigitte,
I just sent you an email to answer your questions.
I look forward to talking to you more.
    Blessings to you,
    Melanie

someone sent me a post of yours today entitled “What is the deal with these broken things?” It encouraged me for lately I have come to the conclusion that breaking me is God’s only way specifically for me. The reason for my thinking this is because its been 45 years, and I am still longing for a BREAK! All in all I am mature enough to know that He loves me and well, you don’t hurt people you love, atleast God doesn’t so I decided to believe in my heart, though I am hurt over and over again, He must know something that I don’t and He isn’t allowing me to hurt on purpose.

    helloredds@gmail.com · 05/04/2017 at 2:10 PM

    Hey Marlene,

It’s so good to hear from you!

And, it does sound like you are going through a season of brokenness. Times of breaking are so hard. When I get to that place where I feel like I’ve had enough, I will get on my face and cry out for God to help! He says He is near to brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Why not pray and ask Him to give you extra grace, hope, and purpose in this long season of breaking. I believe He will!

    Blessings to you,
    Melanie

Hi Ms. Melanie,

I ran through your site and I was so inspired. It is also my desire to become a channel of inspiration and hope to other people especially to the youth. I always have the passion to inspire young people to live their life with a purpose for the Lord. God bless you so much and your ministry. Btw, your family is so beautiful.

    helloredds@gmail.com · 07/20/2016 at 5:25 PM

    Thank you, Flong!
You bless me with your words today!
You CAN (and likely already are) be a channel of inspiration! My “secret” is to stay as close as I can to Jesus. Then, He just overflows and splashes out onto others!
I’m praying that God will bless you and enlarge your territory of ministry with His hand on you!
    Blessings,
    Melanie

You have such a beautiful family! It’s really cool that you teach at a seminary! My dad went to seminary and I have thrown the idea around 😉 maybe someday I will…

I pray God blesses your ministry and encourages you in your work:)

    Thanks, Jessie!

I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment! It’s good to hear from you.

And, I highly recommend seminary training for women. There is so much more about the Bible that makes sense and comes alive as I read it! Your dad would be proud as well~
