Understand What Is Causing Your Back Pain While You Work

If your back pain is typically on a certain day of the week or a certain time during the day, its cause could be a combination of poor ergonomics and posture.

Maybe the pain only shows up after you have had a long day of sitting down. It could be after time hunched over a computer.

More indications that signify you have bad ergonomics and posture include pain that starts in the neck and moves down into the upper back, lower back and limbs.

Another signifier is pain that goes away once you change positions.

It could also be back pain that starts when you get a new office chair, a new position, or a new car.

Keep Your Body Aligned While Sitting And Standing While You Work

When you are standing, make sure that you are evenly distributing all your weight between all sides of your feet.

Take that same principle and apply it when you are sitting in an office chair.

Sit up straight and align the ears, shoulders, and hips in one vertical line.

You could also shift forward to the edge of your chair with a straight back as an alternative.

Exercise to Improve Back Pain While You Work

You will be surprised at how something as simple as moving your muscles can improve the way you feel in your body.

When your muscles naturally get tired with age, things like slouching and slumping become more likely.

All this does is put even more pressure on your back and neck, so for you to keep a relaxed posture, you have to switch postures frequently.

Take breaks from sitting in your chair every half hour for at least two minutes.

During this time you want to take the time to stretch, stand, or walk.

Conclusion

This is why investing in great home ergonomics products will always be a good investment.

Ergonomic products help take the pressure off of your spine.

When you get an ergonomics chair, you are more than likely able to adjust the back, making it perfect for working some of those long hours in front of your computer.

Make sure that the chair supports your lower back, especially.
