7 Powerful Assurances When Life Is Spinning Around Too Fast
7 Powerful Assurances When Life Is Spinning Around Too Fast
It was called the “Merry Go Round.”
Every day at recess, we would run and jump on that moving machine for the fun of it, and spin around until we were dizzy.
We would twirl, swirl, bounce, and ride–laughing like wild!
(Or, we’d get thrown off because it was going so fast!)
7 Powerful Assurances When Life Is Spinning Around Too Fast
Sometimes, it feels like we are riding on one of those silly “Merry Go Rounds” again.
We spin, we swirl, we twirl, we bounce, and we ride through life until we are completely dizzy. Even when we get off of a particular “ride,” things can keep spinning.
Truly, it can be hard to walk with steady footing. Our steps can become uneven.
We can even feel a little dazed and confused with all the “rides” that life is throwing at us.

Dizzy from Spinning Too Fast
I’ve felt that way many times recently… like I was recovering from riding some silly, spinning ride at Six Flags.
Only the weak-in-the-knee feelings haven’t been caused by some amusement park ride, but rather by some unexpected life events.
Maybe you too have felt bewildered and made to feel unsteady by life events as well.
I don’t remember a more unsettling season ever!

Spinning Moments Can Hit Us Hard!
They can hit us at any time… out of the blue, unexpectedly, and without warning.
The phone will ring, and the conversation will throw us off balance.
We turn on the news, and the events around us (and around the world) will blow us away!
The email or text message will appear, and we will wonder how to respond.
A call from our boss about our job can throw us for a loop.
Whatever the case, wherever you are, no matter what life is throwing at you right this moment–can I encourage you with something awesome:
God is NEVER off balance!
Our God is never out of control, dizzy, or bewildered.
He is always alert, aware, and attentive.
Our God is completely unshakable.
And, His Word is filled with great words for us when we feel shaky!
God is NEVER off balance! Share on X
Here are 7 Powerful Assurances When Life Is Spinning Around Too Fast:
Powerful Assurance One – Jesus prays for us!
Don’t you love imagining this scene?
Jesus, seated at the right hand of the Father, is constantly praying for you and me!
“Therefore, He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.”
Hebrews 7:27, AMP

Powerful Assurance Two – God loves us dearly!
This may be one of my favorite passages in all of the Bible!
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
No power in the sky above or the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:38-38, NLT
Powerful Assurance Three – Nothing can separate us from God’s love!
NOTHING can separate you from God’s love!
NOTHING can separate you from God's love! Share on X
Powerful Assurance Four – God is Faithful!
There are moments in life when we have to declare our faith in trust in Almighty God.
He promises to be faithful!
– When we don’t see Him working.
– We can’t feel anything or we feel too much!
– Nothing is happening.
– All is quiet.
– We are just waiting.
That’s when we look to heaven and declare, “I will wait on the Lord, and I will hope in Him.”
Isaiah 8:17

Powerful Assurance Five – God gives us light!
Do things ever seem DARK in your world?
Here are some encouraging words from David in Psalm 18:
“Lord, you give light to my lamp. My God brightens the darkness around me [lights up/illuminates my darkness].”
Psalm 18:28, EXB
Powerful Assurance Six – His mercy never ends!
His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations!
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.”
Psalm 100:4-5, NKJV
His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations! Share on X
Powerful Assurance Seven – Jesus is our Anchor!
Jesus is our HOPE!
He’s the Anchor of our souls!
He’s our unbreakable spiritual lifeline!
“We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go.
It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek.”
Hebrews 6:19-20, MSG

I never liked the merry-go-round, Melanie, so even though I can’t relate to your childhood fun, I can relate to the feeling of it now. It truly does feel like a merry-go-round and at times makes my “heart” sick! The words you’ve shared and the truths from Scripture that prove your point are truly encouraging, my friend! They are just what I need to see the Hope that is God alone! Hugs to you!

I love the hope here, Melanie! I am so thankful for this truth …
“God is NEVER off balance.
He’s never out of control, dizzy, or bewildered.
He is always alert, aware, and attentive.
Our God is completely unshakable.”
Embracing that truth simply brings the spinning to a stop. Thank you for this beautiful encouragement!

Lori
