“Trust and Obey.”
“Have Faith in God.”
Words from old hymns.
Words we have heard, spoken and sung all of our lives.
Moreover, we know that we are to have faith.
Similarly, we understand that we are to believe, but sometimes it is just PLAIN HARD to have faith in God.
Some days, our faith is weak.
Truly, sometimes, believing is tough.
Have you had one of those weeks too?
Do you feel like your faith should be bigger?
Also, would you like to believe in God’s great power more than you do?
To hopefully strengthen your faith today, I’d like to share 5 wonderful Bible promises. Consequently, I’ve shared them on social media this week, and I think they are worth repeating.
First, Bible Promise One
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men, it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”
Mark 10:27, NKJV
Second, Bible Promise Two
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
John 14:1-3, NKJV
Third, Bible Promise Three
‘For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
Indeed, for the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”’
Fourth, Bible Promise Four
Got a long unanswered prayer?
Or, something you’ve asked God to do for years?
Truly, there is something about determined faith and undying hope that blesses the heart of God. Indeed, Abraham believed God against all hope, and God blessed him with a son.
Romans 4:21 says that he was, “fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”
Fifth, Bible Promise Five
Jesus said to him, “Thomas because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
John 20:29, NKJV
And, Amelia, this is for you!
*Finally, I’d like to offer special thanks to Tami Theobald for the gorgeous background pictures this week. And, much appreciation to Alison Tiemeyer for the beautiful title image! Certainly, you both are gifted!
