There may not be a prettier beach spot than Destin, Florida.

White sand that’s soft like sugar.

Seafoam green water that’s not too rough for swimming.

Warm temps.

Constant sea breezes.

And, the smells, sights, and sounds of the ocean.

It’s paradise…

But, who wants to pay the paradise prices?

You know that saving money on your vacation should be at the forefront of your mind if you’re trying to stop yourself from breaking the bank.

If you were doing a day trip while in Europe, you’d be using services like the lockers at St Pancras to hold your luggage while you get around, saving space and money when you travel.

If you were on short-haul flights, you’d buy it using points or savings with your bank so that you can make the most of your money for fun.

However, you want to go to paradise and that means not spending through the nose. But how do you do it?

How to Enjoy the Destin, Florida, Beaches (without breaking the bank)

A few weeks ago my daughter and I made a trip down to Destin and discovered the most wonderful Airbnb in which to stay.

It was well-priced, conveniently located, and such a relaxing place to stay.

Here’s a video of our room:

So, how do you enjoy the Destin, Florida, beaches (without breaking the bank)

First… Go off-season for a visit.

If you can plan your trip outside of peak season months, you can save hundreds of dollars.

For the most part, peak season runs through the summer months. But, the weather is still mild in the other months of the year.

Many friends I know will book a place in November or April.

Second… Find a place on the bay.

The prices to be on the ocean or to have an ocean view are much higher in the Destin area.

So, why not check out some of the places on one of the lakes or bay areas?

There are so many gorgeous water views in the Destin area.

You don’t have to stay on the beach to enjoy the water.

Finally… Check out the Airbnb deals as we did.

There is something so nice about staying in a place with great hospitality.

Most Airbnb locations are personally owned. This way, you get to enjoy the kindness of the owner.

Also, you can save some money renting an Airbnb.

We have found that the extra fees are much higher with an Airbnb than with a traditional condo and or hotel rental.
